Linden Grove Cemetery was officially consecrated on September 18, 1843, on land originally owned by the Western Baptist Theological Institute. Benjamin Grove, a landscape gardener, was the designer responsible for the Cemetery’s layout. Over the succeeding decades, the Cemetery continually fell into disrepair and neglect. The situation degenerated to the point that in 1948, the Kenton County Circuit Court ordered the Cemetery property placed into receivership. An Inter-Local Agreement for the care and maintenance of Linden Grove Cemetery was executed in 1998 between the City of Covington and ..read more

Thomas Kennedy, Jr. and Dinah Davis Piersol
Thomas Kennedy’s father, Thomas, Sr., emigrated to America from Northern Ireland. Once here, he accumulated wealth in Chester, Pennsylvania.

She was the widow of John Piersol, mother of three children, and very attractive to Thomas, six years her junior. His father opposed the marriage and arranged to send Thomas to Ireland. Thomas and Dinah foiled this plan by sneaking away from Chester County, Pennsylvania ..read more

ABOUT THE RUBY’S GARDEN PROJECT & HOW WE HONOR PET LOSS
If you’ve ever dealt with the loss of a pet, you know how hard it can be when it’s time to say goodbye.
In 2020, Ruby, a small beagle with dwarfism, and Covington resident, died. Ruby had a lot of sass, and an online following. When she died, her followers donated money towards a project in her memory.
Ruby’s owner is Cole Imperi, who is now serving as the Board President. Cole and her husband, Victor, added to the donations and donated a total of $2,500 towards what is now being called “Ruby’s Garden.”
