Rotary RW 1895 Heritage Chronograph Limited Edition Review
Two Broke Watch Snobs

Rotary is an interesting low-profile brand in the watch world. They’re not really hailed as a go-to brand for affordable value, nor are they regarded as anywhere near mid-tier luxury. What they do have going for themselves is unique in-house watch designs with a bit of a historical backstory originating in Switzerland. They eventually moved their headquarters to the UK and infused British influence into their watchmaking language. The Seiko Prospex SPB143 re-interpretation 62MAS diver has proven itself as one of Seiko's most popular modern dive watches. It's budget-conscious, durable, and captures the vintage vibes of the 62MAS while standing up to the rigors of daily use. Now, Seiko has decided to make some very small updates to the "1966 Diver’s Re-Interpretation” lineup that elevate the models in a very big way. By this point we've all seen it. Well, maybe only if you're a diehard Speedmaster freak. But since Daniel Craig's appearance at last year's Planet Omega event in New York, Omega fans have been wondering if the mysterious white-dial Speedmaster he was spotted with would become a production reality. The New Imperial Oceanguard GMT Brings More Color And Functionality To A Growing Collection

One of our favorite newer boutique brands has just announced a follow-up to their highly successful debut piece. Back when we reviewed the Royalguard, we praised the model for its price and the enthusiasm behind the brand's founder. It was one of those moments that made watch collecting feel fun again, and I've been happy to see several folks adding a Royalguard to their collection. Now, Imperial is following that success with the introduction of a GMT, featuring a funky dial and some non-traditional GMT bezel colorways. Glashütte Original SeaQ Review | The Maximum Effort, Contrarian Choice Diver
Two Broke Watch Snobs
by Ben Andersen

In my review of the modern Rolex Submariner, I proclaimed it the world's best, money-no-object dive watch. The Glashütte Original SeaQ is a watch I previously had little experience with (Glashütte Authorized Dealers do not grow on trees), and I admired from afar a watch that seemed to make a good run for the title of King of the Divers. Kurono Tokyo Unveils The ‘Calligra’ Special Project
Two Broke Watch Snobs

Kurono Tokyo has developed a near cult-like following with watch enthusiasts over the past few years. The watches are distinctly Japanese in their design and recent releases have both quickly sold out and shown up above MSRP in the secondary market. The idea, however, is to provide something that is accessible and of high-quality. This latest set of 34mm watches uses Hajime Asaoka's hand-drawn Breguet numerals as the starting point, which are then adapted as templates for production. It's been announced as the Kurono 34mm ‘Calligra’ Special Project. The post Kurono Tokyo Unveils The ‘Calligra ..read more

Vero is a brand that has proven itself as a modern staple in the world of affordable, enthusiast watches. They haven't been afraid to take risks in the past and I've always enjoyed the level of personality reflected in their pieces. It also helps that the watches are well under $1,000, with entertaining designs you don't exactly see elsewhere. Now, Vero is announcing officially licensed timepieces with the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service. It's a set of four, in vibrant colors with an interesting case design and a Seiko Kinetic movement. The post Vero Introduces US Forest ..read more
