The task of evangelising every creature has as a logical consequence to do just that; that is, we have a responsibility to share the Gospel with all people without distinction, whether man or woman, child or adult, whatever their nationality, and whatever their status in society. Therefore, it is vitally important to seek ways and means to make this happen, otherwise people would be excluded from the privilege of hearing that King Jesus, in his pure grace, is giving forgiveness to all repentant offenders who require this grace (Mark 1:15). Because of this, the Evangelical Church in Alcázar de ..read more

Christians sometimes have spoken of how everyone has a way of understanding and living in the world. Scholars also have explained how frames of references shape our assumptions about, and approaches to, what we believe about the world. We may tend to be ‘romantic’, seeing the world as fallen from a better past; or enlightenment thinkers, believing in progress to better things; or we may see things going in circles, so that what goes around comes around. For the Christian, however, none of these quite convince ..read more

There’s nothing more exciting than seeing good gospel partnerships begin, grow and flourish. And one of the big blessings of these special relationships between churches is being able to visit. This year we’ve seen more teams travelling from the UK to mainland Europe than ever before, including our very first team to Moldova! We’ve asked the team leader, Rev Philip McClelland (minister of Ahorey and Clare Presbyterian Churches in Northern Ireland), to tell us more about this pioneering visit.  ..read more

A children’s hospital in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, suffers major damage after a Russian missile strike. Volodia and Oksana Kostyshyn watch the dreadful news pictures and relive the months after their first child Zechariah (who has severe disabilities) was born nineteen years ago and spent much time in that very clinic. They look on in horror as they recognise facilities which helped them in those difficult days, now in ruins ..read more

Greece is without doubt one of Europe’s most difficult mission fields. EMF missionary Leonidas Kollaros says: ‘The Greeks have been convinced by the Orthodox Church that they are the true Christians, and that the evangelical Church is a perverted and heretical form of Christianity.’ So when Evropi Tzeli relates how she and her late husband Evangelos stood firm in such a hostile situation, you want to listen well to her story. Zeal for the gospel oozes from every pore of this brave lady’s now rather frail body ..read more

So, the Euro 24 football championships are well under way, but sport has still a race to run this summer! Paris is hosting the 2024 Olympics. What has that got to do with the gospel? Well, as veteran missionary David Brown tells us, and as EMF missionary Liz Lasnes reiterates, there will be many evangelistic opportunities in Paris during the games; they would love you to support them in prayer as they and the Paris churches aim to use these opportunities well ..read more

My little daughter loves the kids’ song ‘Creator God’. After describing some of the incredible things that God has created (the stripes on the bee, the freckles on our faces, the ripples on the sea), it tells us that ‘we’re made to be creative like Creator God’. That lyric was going round in my head as I spoke with Ruthi Festa, one half of EMF couple Andrea and Ruthi, working in Mantua, Italy. Ruthi is an artist – a graphic designer and illustrator. And she is passionate about the role art plays - in life, in faith, and in our Christian witness to the world ..read more
