Specifically for our Pennsylvania bats (of which 5 of the 9 species are considered threatened or endangered), temperature fluctuations have affected habitat availability, insect populations, and weather patterns (especially for migratory species). Earlier this year, we brought you the story of a young bald eagle that was brought to HARP’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for care. Though that eagle had arrived for treatment for a concussion and bacterial infection, he was also found to have dangerous amounts of lead in his system. Mikey has been with us for a few months. He is about 1 years old and is roughly 80 lbs. We aren’t sure how Mikey would feel living with another dog, so we suggest a meet and greet prior to adoption!
