What have you been making the most during quarantine? I see many people have been baking sourdough, which to be honest I can’t wait to start as soon as my starter is strong. But in the meantime, what I’ve been baking at least twice a week is pizza. I’ve simply become smitten with it. And after trying different methods, I finally came across the best pizza recipe. It come es via Roberta’s Pizza in Brooklyn, and it’s simply fantastic. The dough itself, is thin and pliant, tender and chewy. Most of all, it’s extraordinarily flavourful, and will last in the refrigerator for up to a week. So bef ..read more

Today, I want to share with you a recipe for the best cauliflower tacos of life.  And I’m not kidding. This week I’ve only been making simple meals and the flavour of the crispy cauliflower florets and the lucious avocado crema, make these tacos ones that you’ll be making over and over again. I’ve loved tacos for as long as I can remember. Going for vegetarian tacos was my go-to when I was living in Santo Domingo and would go for dinner with friends. But it was not until I moved to Mexico City That I gained a deeper appreciation for this quintessential Mexican Street food. Appreciation ..read more

The flavours of Israel have stayed with me ever since I came back from my trip back last September. The moment I came back home (packed with a tonne of  spices I must say) I found myself feeling nostalgic for all the dishes I had tried during my stay. The truth is that there are so many reasons why I love Israeli food. Let’s just start by saying that I am drawn to the fact that they’ve welcomed flavours from around the world, and created their own unique cuisine. One that is incredibly vibrant. However, If I had to choose what I love the most about Israeli food, it would without a doubt ..read more

Especially those that are easy to put together for a quick weekday dinner. In comes one of our favourite pasta dishes at home. A hearty and flavourful Baked Rigatoni with Arrabbiata sauce and Friulano. Friulano is one of those cheeses that’s always present on my cheeseboards and I’ll tell you why. It has a delicate mild flavour that goes well with pretty much everything you pair it with. From spicy red pepper jelly, apricot preserves ..read more

I didn’t think it was possible to fall so deeply in love with a country until I came back from Israel. From the moment I shared the news of my upcoming trip with friends that had been to Israel, or had family there, all I heard was that I would love it. That I would be in awe of the colourful markets, the incredible food, the beaches and the people. Turns out, they were right. Going to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv was simply life changing. Most noteworthy, where to eat in Israel. I, along 4 other food bloggers from the US and Australia, spent a week in Israel with Vibe Israel. Vibe Israel is a ..read more

What is the first thing you do when you land in a new city? I’ve ben wanting to write this post for a long time, and finally share my best travel tips with you. But if the trip is not long, I’ll hit the streets right away to get a feel of the city and most importantly, to visit as many food spots as possible. Lats month I went to New York City to attend the preview of Banana Republic‘s Summer Collection which was inspired in Morocco, a country that I’m so looking forward to visitin ..read more

What are some of your top self-care practices? For me there’s such an important correlation between the way I feel and the self care practices that I’ve implemented in my life. Some of those  involve taking time to disconnect and recharge, some involve working out and many of them, involve the foods my family and I eat at home, as well as the products we choose (from  supplements to toiletries). I have always been interested in the way we contribute to our own well- being. My Dad is a Doctor who combines traditional medicine with alternative medicine. He’s been practicing medit ..read more

Today I have  a super easy recipe for you. Roasted Vegetable and hummus Tartines have been on repeat at home, and they are pure perfection for lunch. But first, let’s chat about self care for a bit. A LOT has been said about self care lately. And I am here for it. When you think about it, we live in a world that that has glorified being constantly busy. But by being busy all the time and not allowing ourselves to just BE, we do a disservice to our mind and to our body. You can’t give from an empty cup, so personally when it comes to self care, two things come to mind. Working out ..read more

Don’t you love the feeling of Spring in the air? Not only is it double digit temperatures that bring absolute joy, but Spring baking. Especially anything with tons of citrus and fruit.  Since there’s still a month or so until farmers market season, I’ve already started making a few recipes that I’ll be sharing with you during the next few weeks.
