I have always liked using different angles to create impact at a wedding. Sometimes I go low and shoot up, to show a large room or vista. Often I am on my belly doing this, or using a tripod, as my tripod goes right down to the ground. Rarely do I do this at a […]

Let’s talk about doing a First Look at your wedding! I am 100% for it!!! For so many reasons. For those of you not aware of what this involves, the First Look is where the happy couple see each other before the wedding and do MOST of the posed photos prior to the wedding. Tradition […]

Every year I change my wedding kit. What does it take to properly cover a wedding? You have to be ready for everything. I tend to go with lighter lenses, which allows me to be more mobile. I have 3 cameras in my bag, each with a different lens. Having 3 lenses going at all times, means less need to change lenses. This makes me more efficient!
This is a peek at what I use. One nice benefit is I can carry everything in one trip. I really only need my camera bag and the tripod bag for most weddings.

There are many Firsts at a wedding. There is the bride’s First Reveal with her bridesmaids, and often her mother! There is the couples First Look done before the wedding. Of course the First glance down the aisle. Even the First Dance! But today I wanted to mention another poignant moment, namely when the father of the bride sees his daughter for the first time, all dressed in her bridal finery! Daddy’s little girl! A very emotional time and moment to capture for sure! Here are a few of my favorite images showing this magical time!

What a great Vermont wedding! A handsome couple and the perfect setting! Danielle and John had perfect weather for their lakeside wedding at Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, Vermont. The gardens at Lake Morey Resort are almost more impressive then its lake view, offering up many great backgrounds for wedding photographs! I worked this wedding with my Associate John (JL). This is a sample view of the happy couples wedding album that I designed for them! The final wedding album is printed in Italy by Graphistudio! Enjoy!!

It was a warm and sunny Vermont day on the mountainside of Burke Mountain Resort, for the wedding of Nicholas and Madalyne! What a lovely view that was enjoyed by guests and lots of dragonfly’s as well! I got my BA Degree in photography a few miles away in Lyndon, and it is always nice to return to my old stomping grounds. I had a blast with these 2 nature lovers. This first image was so difficult! The bright afternoon sun was blinding. My eyes were watering and it was hard to see properly. I placed these 2 lovebirds with the sun behind, as I always love that look! Using a tripod (look ma no h ..read more

Time to take a look back at the wedding of Jessica and Jason. Lake Bomoseen Lodge has an option to ferry everyone across the lake to a small island. Which is certainly a wonderful experience, and really sets that stage for a great wedding! After the short boat ride, they got married lakeside. I did 3 weddings at Lake Bomoseen Lodge last year! This is a look at the Graphistudio wedding album that I designed for them. Finished albums are printed in Italy!
Jessica used Amanda Sue Studios for makeup. Amber Couture did Jessica’s hair. Green Mountain Sound had the place r ..read more

A look back almost a year ago to the wedding of Emma and Victoria. This presentation shows the Graphistudio album I designed for them. They have a very cute story! Growing up they lived just a few houses away from each other, and went to the same grade school and high school. After graduating they stayed close, but each went their separate ways to college. Always best friends, they did not see the sparks fly until after college, and suddenly the friendship took a new path! A wonderful new couple emerged, and I find it so nice that each side of the family was already connected! They got married ..read more

Mikaela & Tad’s Love Story:
Tad & I met in New York City in 2016 at a bar called the Red Lion. If you know the Red Lion, you know it is not great for meeting people because it is loud. So we feel so lucky – it was meant to be! After five years in the city and one golden retriever, we made the move to Westchester, NY. Fast forward 2 years, we now have put down roots, and added one more pup. While on a walk near our home in Northern Westchester with our two dogs, Duck and Goose, Tad proposed under a giant beautiful oak tree. Easiest yes for me (and only a few happy tears I swear!).
