As part of the Government of Canada’s Oceans Protection Plan, Transport Canada has announced the construction of a new aircraft hangar for its National Aerial Surveillance Program (NASP) in Iqaluit. This project will improve infrastructure in the Arctic and allow year-round aviation operations, as well as help support the safety, security, and environmental sustainability of marine transportation in the North. The Maisonneuve Library is the recipient of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s National Urban Design Award, a National Urban Design Award 2024, in the urban architecture category.
