New hangar for Transport Canada in Iqaluit

As part of the Government of Canada’s Oceans Protection Plan, Transport Canada has announced the construction of a new aircraft hangar for its National Aerial Surveillance Program (NASP) in Iqaluit. This project will improve infrastructure in the Arctic and allow year-round aviation operations, as well as help support the safety, security, and environmental sustainability of marine transportation in the North. On February 28th, the Minister responsible for Relations with the First Nations and Inuit, Ian Lafrenière, and the Minister responsible for Government Administration, Sonia Lebel, visited the new 4-bedroom single-family housing model (called S4) designed by EVOQ and the Makivvik Corporation.
