Dear Glen Mar friends, As Mother’s Day approaches, we give thanks for the gift of God’s love shared through mothers or people who have been like mothers to us. We also give thanks this Sunday for our 2024 Graduates too. On one level, it doesn’t seem to take much to be able to “grow up.” Time waits for no one, and getting older happens, whether we like it or not. But as followers of Jesus, we are not just called to grow older, we are called to grow up” in faith, love and wisdom, to grow in knowledge of and love of our Lord, and to grow in generosity and giving. As we grow, our support of the c ..read more

Dear Glen Mar friends, Jesus calls us to grow disciples and to grow AS disciples throughout our lives, and to bear fruit in the world—fruit like love, joy, peace, patience, and kindness. Fruit like food for the hungry, hope for the hopeless, comfort for people in trouble, and good news for the poor. Our new worship series, starting tomorrow, will examine ways God is calling us to GROW, as individual disciples, and as a church, as part of our annual stewardship campaign. I hope you’ll make attending worship online or in person a priority as we talk about Glen Mar’s future as a greenhouse for g ..read more

Let’s Grow as ‘Easter People’
Glen Mar Church Blog

By Pastor Melaina Trice Through the month of April, we discovered that living as Easter people is not only for a day, week, month, or season but it is a life that recognizes that resurrection is possible every day. Scarcity mindset tempts us into believing that resurrection is impossible because we do not have enough resources or abilities to be resurrected. This scarcity mindset is often driven by a level of idolatry because scarcity mindset tricks us int ..read more
