While many school-based SLPs are off during the summers, many of us are still working, whether it be in clinics, private practice, or even ESY! In addition, it’s also a fantastic way to teach them about how certain holiday traditions were formed, different cultures and religions. If you’re doing a fairy tale theme, you may want to consider using twisted fairy tales in speech therapy. I happened upon a twisted version of The Three Little Pigs several years ago, and I decided to read it to one of my 2nd grade therapy groups.
