The past two months we’ve been working so hard to create and finish our outdoor garden area. I can’t wait to reveal the whole garden area to you and then again once everything grows in. Meanwhile, you can certainly check out what we’re planting and currently growing with our indoor setup.
In order for all of these vegetables and flowers to flourish, I knew I wanted to include a butterfly and bee garden to bring all the pollinators that we can to our garden. It’s also a great excuse to finally try incorporating an English style garden bed in our yard. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do! We ..read more

Have you ever walked around a nursery looking for the perfect flowers for your summer pots or containers? And 30 minutes later you either have only one flower in your cart or too many because you can’t make a decision. The struggle is real and I’ve been there time and time again!
Over the past few summers I’ve experimented with different flowers in flower pots and killed a lot along the way. And when I say a lot, I mean pretty much all of them. That is until I found the ones that worked for me in full sun and how often to water. I don’t want you to suffer like I did and having to say bye to s ..read more

Living in Florida you may think of sunshine, right? You’d be correct but it’s also a tropical oasis full of daily thunderstorms rolling through. The amount of rain we receive in the summer months often shocks those who come to visit or whenever I share with all of you over on Instagram.
The amount of rain we receive can also be tough on our yard and home at times. A little over a year ago we gave the exterior of our home a makeover: a fresh coat of paint and a new set of gutters. We wrapped the gutters around our entire home wanting to keep water away ..read more

When we moved into our first home, I was an avid gardener in our yard but I stuck to faux plants inside minus a fiddle leaf fig or two. It felt very intimidating to think of keeping a plant alive indoors. Fast forward to now, just about every room in our home has a real houseplant. For the most part, they’re thriving. I’m still learning what does and doesn’t work in our home or where it our home houseplants work the best.
One of the best ways to learn is to try yourself. I’ve noticed when going to local home improvement stores, I see the same generic houseplants over and over. Which is okay b ..read more

This year isn’t any different and I had a big project in mind that I wanted to complete in a single weekend. I decided on the space, narrowed down a few things I wanted to change and how to make it functional. I partnered with Home Depot to help get this project done and to show you what’s possible.

Our in-ground pool is done! It took exactly 12 weeks from start to finish and it was a very smooth and enjoyable process. Going into this, we were told to be prepared for major delays, hiccups, and headaches from others who had a pool installed. But to be honest, besides a few hiccups that were corrected quickly, it was a wonderful process!
I’m excited to be sharing all of our pool details from how we picked our contractor, to the materials we used and why, what the process looked like, the cost of our pool, and everything else in-between. In other words, let’s dive in!
