Tony Khan appeared on NFL Network with a neck brace and discussed being the target of an attack by The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry. When the hosts said he took a Meltzer Driver, Khan said the Bucks changed the name months ago to the Tony Khan Driver. “Maybe I should have seen it coming, in hindsight,” he said. He said he has a complicated relationship with the Bucks and Jack Perry.

AEW President Tony Khan wore a neck brace during the NFL Draft as a nod to selling the angle at the end of Dynamite on Wednesday where he took a stuff piledriver from The Young Bucks.
The decision to sell the injury the next day at the NFL Draft was noted by media. Pat McAfee referenced it on his show. A panelist noted that Khan was turning his neck back and forth anyway, despite the neck brace, and wasn’t particularly convincing that he was nursing a serious neck issue.
Yahoo Sports referred to it as “an amusing sporting crossover” and provided the backstory.

Last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 683,000 viewers, down from 762,000 the prior week. It is easily the lowest viewership of the year and the lowest of since it drew 670,000 viewers on Jan. 13, 2021, over three years ago. It barely outdrew NXT the night before, which drew 661,000.
In the key 18-49 demo, it drew a 0.23 rating, back down to where it was the two weeks before the Jack Perry-C.M. Punk footage aired. NXT drew a 0.20 in the key demo.

Last night, AEW Dynamite finished no. 11 among all cable and broadcast shows in the 18-49 demo with 337,000 viewers. The no. 1 show was the NBA Play-in Tournament game on ESPN with 1.543 million viewers. CBS’s “Survivor” finished no. 2 with 1.014 million viewers.
Last week (4/10), AEW Dynamite finished no. 7 among all shows. A regular season NBA game on ESPN finished no. 2 with 650,000 viewers in the key demo, behind CBS’s “Survivor” which drew 906,000.
Two weeks ago, the NBA on ESPN drew 487,000 in the key demo (ranking no. 6) compared to Dynamite’s 309,000 (ranking no. 12).

Last night’s (4/17) episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 762,000 viewers, down from last week’s 819,000 viewers. They went up against the NBA Play-in Tournament games last night. The average through 16 weeks this year is 804,000.
One year ago this week it drew 830,000, a drop from 866,000 the prior week. Dynamite drew 866,000 last year up against the NBA Play-in Tournament games on Apr. 12.
The average viewership through 16 weeks last year was 897,000, so Dynamite is down on average 93,000 viewers per week.
