Moroccan Aya El Aouni was crowned champion of the W15 tennis tournament which wrapped up on May 5 in Antalya, Turkey. This follows El Aouni’s victory over her Russian counterpart Valeriya Yushchenko by two sets to one. After losing the first set to Yushchenko (2-6), the Moroccan tennis player managed to regain control over the game, scoring 7-6 and 6-3. The Moroccan had ousted the Swiss Alina Granwehr in two sets in the semi-final (6-3, 7-6). Yushchenko qualified at the expense of the Czech Alena Kovackova (6-4, 7-6).
