Here’s how you can help your furry friend stay comfortable during the cooler months.   Arthritis, or osteoarthritis, is a degenerative joint disease that can affect dogs of all ages but is more common in older dogs. April brings with it a day of profound remembrance in Australia and New Zealand. Anzac Day, observed on April 25th, is a solemn day of reflection dedicated to honouring the men and women who have served and sacrificed in conflicts across the globe. Yet, among the ranks of these brave souls, there exists a contingent of heroes often unsung: the military and service dogs whose loyalty and bravery have saved countless lives.   The history of military dogs is as old as warfare itself, with their roles evolving from mascots and sentinels to modern-day roles in search, rescue, and therapeutic s ..read more

We don’t even know where to begin with our Mr Thai Boy. He has been with us for a wonderful 11 and a bit years and is a very important member of our little family. If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Thai, here are some things to know: if you are in his bed, he will stand over you and cry until you move, he is the perfect mix of sassy boofhead and a sweet sleepy angel, he is the most tolerant boy (especially when it comes to the crazy puppies on their first day), and he is no match for a door with food on the other side of it, even in his older years. We simply adore you Thai boy, than ..read more

As National Pet ID Week unfolds we are reminded about a simple yet integral act that can mean the difference between lost and found, between heartache and reunion. This procedure, quick and as painless as a routine vaccination, assigns your dog a unique identification number. This number, when scanne ..read more

With Easter around the corner, homes are often filled with delicious chocolate treats. While delightful for humans, chocolate poses a serious risk to our canine companions.
