The Saint and the Smugglers by T J Dockree is a tempting short story with a humourous twist, following the exploits of two Cornish smugglers, their tempters and rescuer. It appears in the Cornwall Writers anthology, Cornwall Beneath and Beyond. The story stimulated a lot of debate as to whether the smugglers would stay the course or stumble. Jason Kenyon is from the South-West of England, living both in and out of the county, with family from Cornwall. For nearly a decade, he lived over in the Republic of Ireland, before returning to England. He writes in the fantasy genre, with a focus on humour. We bring to you our fabulous Cornwall Beneath and Beyond Book Cover Designer! Lucy H Smith is a freelance illustrator based in Cornwall, with a passion for nature and storytelling. Her first published work was when she won a competition to design a book cover for The Bras and the Bees: The Extraordinary Life of BJ Sherriff by FA Notley. I was born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon, but have lived the majority of my life in the West Country.
