Just east of the Inner Loop, this cluster of six independent cities — Spring Valley, Hillshire, Hedwig, Bunker Hill, Hunters Creek and Piney Point — started to blossom after Interstate 10 was built in 1968. While each village has its own personality — not to mention deed restrictions — they each occupy the sweet spot between urban and suburban living, offering the best of both. The Tanglewood acres of flat prairie were bought by a developer who named the soon-to-be community after his daughter’s favorite book, Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Tanglewood Tales. Located West of 610 and South of I-10, this neighborhood contains centuries-old live oaks surrounding beautiful ranch style and large two-story homes. Tanglewood is a family-friendly, community-minded neighborhood with easy access to the Galleria, Downtown, and Uptown, which all contain multiple spectacular shopping and dining spots. The winding streets and remarkably sized lots give this community its charm and serenity ..read more

Covering over 1,100 acres in west Houston, River Oaks has remained a model community of gracious, lavish living. Truly one of the best aspects of living in River Oaks is the location. Not only are you by some of the best restaurants in the city, you also are a short drive from just about everything. Named one of the most luxurious and expensive neighborhoods in Texas, the opportunities are endless in this neighborhood. West University, or “West U,” is a two-square mile beautiful enclave within the 610 loop in Houston, right near Rice University. This neighborhood keeps a low-key atmosphere while maintaining high-end living. What’s awesome about West U is that it has equal appeal to both families and young professionals. The area is right by Downtown as well as the Houston Medical Center. It is also very close to the Galleria. In 2019, 24/7 Wallstreet named West University Place America’s best city to live. The restaurants, shopping, and livelihood of West U are impressive and unique. It’s a great place for ..read more
