Spring into Summer
Air conditioners have been switched on, lawns are getting mown, and lineups for fall music festivals are being announced...it must be the start of summer in Austin!

Over the last few weeks we have received comments and questions regarding the RFP process used to select the Austin Sol for our 2023 Youth Spring League partner. Below you will find the proposal submitted by Sol which the Austin Ultimate (AU) Board reviewed and voted 8-1 to partner with Sol for next year’s YSL. This weekend, Austin and the wider Texas community lost an absolutely incredible, kind, generous, caring and wonderful human, John Aden Higgs. A native Austinite, Higgs was a member of the AU (then-UPLA) Board for many years serving as Youth Director, in addition to coaching countless youth events, Double Trouble (YCC Boys), and other teams. He also served as DJ at local pro games and could always be counted on for the best music recommendations. We would like to respond to requests for more information about the Youth Spring League RFP and the Austin Ultimate board decision to partner with the Austin Sol in 2023. At this time, we are not sharing the proposal documents themselves, but the Sol are open to sharing their proposal if all submissions will be publicized.
