Carol Phillips, run director of Dundalk IT juniors, and Brenda Hill, event director of Dundalk parkrun, were acknowledged by Louth Volunteer Centre for their volunteering work at parkrun and delivered a surprise treat.   Carol regularly covers as run director on Sundays at juniors but also participates weekly on Saturdays getting the best of both worlds. She has also been a tailwalker in the Dublin marathon for the last two years in a row which contributed to the juniors’ kitty towards buying a new AED.   She brings a smile every week and is very much appreciated by all at junio ..read more

Gerry Campbell is just like any other man you will meet in life. Cillian’s dad, Micheál, had some wonderful things to say about Killarney House junior parkrun recently.   He was thrilled with how inclusive they’ve been, especially considering Cillian is one of only 232 people worldwide diagnosed with Hao-Fountain syndrome. Last Saturday, the Vhi ambassadors for this year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon took part in Marlay parkrun as part of a Vhi Wellness Day event marking the halfway point in training for the race day on 2 June.
