June 2, 2023 – Printed and Stitched – Opening Reception at the Art Ark Gallery It was a lovely turnout with approximately 40+ in attendance, with many attending as part of San Jose’s First Friday festivities. The Prism Play opening and reception on Saturday, May 21, 2022 was a big success with 80 people attending.  The Peninsula Museum of Art gallery, located at the The Shops at Tanforan, proved the perfect venue for showcasing the 62 art quilts for this show. The layout of the show allows visitors to view the spectrum of colors almost as if they were standing inside a prism. The SAQA Local Connections group for the Greater Sacramento/Foothills Region issued a call to artists from our Northern California and Nevada region for a non-juried showcase exhibit for art quilts made during the pandemic. October 17-20, 2019 Our SAQA booth at the Pacific International Quilt Festival (PIQF) was a great success! Northern California/Nevada Regional Rep, Sonja Campbell, was there every day and reported “PIQF is always special to me because I have the opportunity to talk with the members staffing the booth.  We also get to see members who drop by to say hello.
