Preston Police have detained a rider and bike after a small chase in the city.
A rider was detained after a police chase in the Moor Nook area.

On 19 April, the Ribbleton Neighbourhood Team spotted an individual trying to get away from officers on a bike. After a small foot chase they were caught and detained.

Alleygates in Preston
Public access to alleyways running through a cluster of Preston streets is to be blocked off because they have become hotspots for drinking and drug taking.
Preston City Council’s cabinet has given the go-ahead to the creation of public space protection orders (PSPOs) that will restrict the right of way along ginnels off Balcarres Road, Shelley Road, Blackpool Road and Briggs Road in the Cadley ward.

Preston Police arrested a man on suspicion of immigration act offences.
Unmarked police cars stopped a car in Bluebell Way, Fulwood at around 12:30pm on Wednesday (24 April).

Preston Police arrested a man found to be carrying weapons in the early hours of yesterday morning (23 April).
Officers stopped a man on Bridge Road, Ashton-on-Ribble at 3:51am during Tuesday.

Three knives and a baseball bat were seized and the man was also wearing body armour.

The bike seized by police
Two young males were stopped driving a motorcycle across Fishwick Nature Reserve with one found to be in possession of Class A drugs.
Police stopped the men on 19 April who were driving an electric Surron motorcycle.

Electric Surron’s are classed by law as a motorcycle rather than a EAPC (electrically-assisted pedal cycle) so riders must comply with motorcycle laws, such as having relevant driving licence and insurance etc.

A Preston woman has been jailed for 10 months for a string of shoplifting offences.
Victoria Heaton, 47, of Lancaster Road North was arrested and charged last week with shoplifting from ten stores in and around Preston city centre.

A man has been charged by the police after a heritage window was smashed at the Moorbrook Inn.
Thomas Beesley, 47, of Tag Croft, Ingol, has been charged with criminal damage to property and possession of a knife/bladed article in a public place.

An app to support teenagers and provide information on clubs and activities in the city has been developed in Preston.
The Lancashire Violence Reduction Network and UCLan have worked together to create the app, WHAY? (What’s Happening Around You?), co-produced with young people.

The scene of the crash in Catterall
A casualty was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a crash to the north of Preston.
Garstang Road was closed between Catterall Gates Lane and Bowgreaves Drive last night (21 April) from 6.05pm after a car reportedly collided with a telegraph pole and a bus stop.
