 Shirley and I made the drive over to Charlotte yesterday to introduce petanque to a great group of young people who work at International House located at 1611 E 7th Street. Mica Gadhia and Stephane Brico recently joined Carolina Petanque after playing with us a couple of times at our Nevin Park venue. They then suggested to Shirley that we might be interested in introducing their coworkers to our game as a team-building event, and we, of course, jumped at the chance.   Looks like Gail was still recovering from weekend! We've really enjoyed playing indoor petanque at Hanes Hosiery Community Center for the past few months.   Preston held a hotdog cookout on the grill to celebrate the weekend of Mid-America Women's Doubles tournament. Many of the women scheduled to play on Sunday were able to get in a little time on the courts to help acclimate to the terrain. 2024 Piedmont Plus Senior Games

  We had 22 people participate in Sunday's panache for this year's petanque event as part of Senior Games. Gail Dickerson had the overall best record with Shirley Jones in second place and Kathy Cline third. Those were the only three players who won all three of their games. Marc Quilici had the best point differential of those with 2 out of three wins and finished fourth.
