I had a wonderful time talking with Ghenadi Rotari, a Moldovian accordionist, on his podcast "Everything Accordion". I've been listening to his interviews with members of the international accordion community for a good wee while, and thought I would reach out and see if he'd have me on to share a bit about the classical accordion community in Scotland! This has been a long time coming - it's now nearly two years since I sat down alongside Michael O'Rourke, Rosie Lavery and recording engineer Matthew Swan to record this album, but here we are finally with a release date of the 6th October 2023! DISTIL Workshops: Reflection

It has been just over a month since I took part in a weekend of residential workshops as part of 'Distil' - a project run by Hands Up for Trad that aims to give traditional and folk musicians the chance to reflect on their creative practice and expand areas of their musical development.
