One of the common questions I get with the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 is how does it tow? I know the fuel economy without towing is just exceptional, towing a car on a car dolly did really well, but I wanted to know how it would tow a camper? I assumed the 3.0-liter Duramax diesel towing fuel economy would be pretty good. Would I be disappointed?
For this test, I borrowed my cousins 28′ Connect lightweight camper with 5,400 pounds of dry weight. This is a pretty typical camper length and weight for a full-size truck to tow.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Jeep Cherokee vehicles equipped with a power liftgate. For this Jeep Cherokee recall, an electrical short in the power liftgate module may lead to a vehicle fire with the ignition on or off.
A fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.
Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 30, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC’s n ..read more

It’s crazy how times flies! It has now been six months since taking delivery of our long-term review vehicle, the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 LZ0 Duramax diesel truck.
I have done long roads trips, towed a few times and generally just drove the 2023 Silverado around town. It has more than 5,000 miles on the truck and is well past the break-in period. There are things I really like about the truck — and a few things I don’t.

Let’s start with what the truck is if you aren’t familiar. It’s a refreshed 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500, complete with a ..read more

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, and 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair vehicles equipped with a 360-degree camera. For this Ford and Lincoln recall, the video output may fail, preventing the rearview camera image from displaying.
Loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver’s rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy is under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 26, 2023. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 23S23. This recall expand ..read more

Bugs and rock chips can really ding up a new truck which is why I installed a new Weathertech Low Profile Hood Protector on our long-term 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 review truck.
After a few weeks with it installed, I have to say it looks great! The install was pretty painless except for one thing I would have done differently.
Installing the Weathertech Low Profile Hood Protector
The hood protector came from AmericanTrucks.com and is rather inexpensive at $94.95. It comes in a long cardboard box and it arrived with no damage to the box.
Opening the box, you will find a quick one-p ..read more

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner made its debut at the Overland Expo West, and I had the opportunity to get a close look at this highly anticipated truck. Sporting an Underground exterior color and with the XtraCab configuration, this new midsize truck captured quite a bit of attention and faced some immediate criticism.
What is the 2024 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner?
Designed for high-speed off-roading rather than rock climbing, the PreRunner comes only in 2WD and a rear locker. It also comes with a six-foot bed, an XtraCab with lockable storage, and the iForce Max engine paired with an eight-spee ..read more

One of the biggest questions we are getting asked is about the 2024 Toyota Tacoma seating position and if they have improved it. Rather than having me or Jill test it out, I got the tallest guy I know at 6’8″ to climb into the midsize truck.
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is the 4th generation of the midsize truck and it certainly has gotten a lot of attention through the massive amounts of changes and how they seemingly fixed all the issues from the 3rd generation as well as the 2022 Toyota Tundra redesign.

Coming in much higher than expected, the Chevy Silverado EV WT easily surpassed estimates and the new EPA-estimated range is 450 miles. That’s nearly 100 miles more than the closest competitor.
What is the Chevy Silverado EV WT?
The Chevy Silverado EV WT is the work truck version of the all-electric Silverado and was announced with 400 miles of range. However, Chevy engineers say it will now reach 450 miles of range.
The best a Ford F-150 Lightning can muster is 320 miles of range. While the Ram Rev and Tesla Cybertruck are expected to reach 500 miles of range in higher trims and cost much mo ..read more

It is finally here! The 2024 Toyota Tacoma has been revealed and there is a lot to talk about with this midsize truck. Here are my top five things to know about the truck.
There’s a lot to unpack and there’s a lot of exciting features, changes and well, just badass design that we saw from the leaked image and features for this truck.

We recently had the chance to take the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X off road, and it was pretty darn great. But apparently that’s not enough for the folks at GMC as they’re having a “hold my beer” moment.
The automaker has just released a new teaser image for the AT4X AEV, which GMC states will be “the most advanced and most off-road capable midsize pickup in the segment.”
If you aren’t familiar, AEV stands for American Expedition Vehicles, which is an aftermarket off-road parts store. We’ve seen AEV versions of General Motors trucks before, and they tend to be fairly awesome.
We don’t have any detai ..read more
