Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Jeep Cherokee vehicles equipped with a power liftgate. For this Jeep Cherokee recall, an electrical short in the power liftgate module may lead to a vehicle fire with the ignition on or off. A fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, and 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair vehicles equipped with a 360-degree camera. For this Ford and Lincoln recall, the video output may fail, preventing the rearview camera image from displaying. Loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver’s rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. The remedy is under development. We recently had the chance to take the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X off road, and it was pretty darn great. But apparently that’s not enough for the folks at GMC as they’re having a “hold my beer” moment.
