Ps:146:6 He keeps every promise forever.  Everyone loves promises. It is even more beautiful when the promise is fulfilled.  God is a God of promises and He is faithful. What He promises He always fulfills. Not even one goes wayward.  There is no doubt about the general promises He makes in the Bible. One by one we see them fulfilled through the story of Israel and early church.  There are enough and more personal promises which are staring at you face on. He is faithful to fulfill all of them too forever. It is upto us to believe and live a peaceful life trusting in ..read more

Amos:3:7 Indeed the Sovereign Lord never does anything until He reveals His plans to His servants the prophets.  Is it true? Has it been like that always?  Oh! Otherwise mankind is so stiffnecked not to see the hand of God in all that is happening. He would attribute it to chance.  What is He about to do? Why is He doing it? All these have been already planned. He is not a God who is surprised at the turn of events to do something different. For Him everything is well planned.  Should I hide my plan from Abraham -  God comprehended in His mind before the destructio ..read more

Storytelling is an art

The Bible is God's story of redemption of mankind through a set of people called Israel. It describes their choice, their obedience, their disobedience, their rebellion, their being rejected and they rejecting.  Does that mean God is concerned about Israel alone? Does that mean God shows favouritism to these set of people? That He will forgive all their sins based on their obedience and faith of their forefathers?  There were other set of people right? In the Bible itself - the Edomites, the Amorites, the Egyptians, the Moabites. Why in the Bible God talks about punishing and kil ..read more

Joel:3:16 But the Lord will be a refuge for His people A strong fortress for the people of Israel.  When the world runs frantically Not knowing where to find a shade From the hot and glaring sun Which so torments and afflicts you.  Wild beasts standing on the edges of your paths Waiting to devour you, the moment you fall They mock you. They demean you They wait for you to plummet What to cling on to? Where to look up to?  The world has no answer The system doesn't have a lasting clarity It has not figured it out yet.  It's best bets stand confused Assets, relati ..read more

But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved Joel:2:32 In His name there is salvation. And if you call on His name you will be saved for sure.  Jesus.  Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end.  In Him and through Him and for Him everything was created.  Son of God.  Son of David.  Root of Jesse.  Lion of Judah. The Lamb who was slain.  In His name there is freedom. In His name there is deliverance.  Why?  Because He alone has done the redemptive act on the cross. No other name could do that. Sinless perfect lamb of Go ..read more

Rain

For the rain He sends demonstrates His faithfulness Joel:2:23 The rain keeps coming. Season after season. Showers of blessings. Not mercy drops. It proves He is a good God. He is fully in control. He cares for us.  We can see rains as either a curse or as a blessing. How we see it and acknowledge it increases our faith to Him who is faithful. He continues to shower His blessings no matter what the circumstances are. For He is always good. He is always merciful. He is always faithful.   Ps:145:13 The Lord always keeps His promises.  He is the promise keeper. Who never deters from doing what He has said. He is true. He is faithful. Not as a quality. But as a character, as an attribute. His very nature is truth. His very being is truth. His very name is truth.  So do not doubt. If He said, He will do.  2 Cor:1:20 For all God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ, with a resounding "Yes" And through Christ, our "Amen" ( which means "Yes") ascends to God for His glory.  He has called to bless. Even on the midst of all these setbacks. His promise t ..read more

The Lord is merciful and compassionate Slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love The Lord is good to everyone He showers compassion on all His creation Ps:145:8-9 What is compassion?  Love+sympathy+empathy+realisation of the other person's helplessness+wanting to help+caring+providing+protecting+goodness+merciful. There is much more. But it is essentially overflowing with love!  Upto the brim and beyond. So that we are bathed in it. Submerged in it. Underneath me. All around me is the current of thy Love.  His promise is that He will never leave me nor forsake me. He h ..read more
