Two local enterprises in Ethiopia are benefitting from INBAR-AECID’s strategic material support. Small and medium enterprises working with bamboo often have difficulty locating suitable environments for efficient and safe work. Seeking to remedy this gap, the INBAR-AECID Ethiopia Bamboo Supply Chain Development project constructed working sheds for two bamboo enterprises in Sidama, Ethiopia. The first, Hulegeb Bamboo Works, is a women-based association that specializes in bamboo weaving products. The second, Fiker Bamboo Enterprise, focuses on bamboo handicraft manufacturing.
