The demand for single story homes in the Conejo Valley has greatly increased over the last decade.   But, when the Conejo Valley was built, home builders skewed towards families with young kids who tended to favor 2 story layouts. Overtime, the kids have moved on, but their parents elect to stay although no longer wanting a 2 story house – greatly increasing the demand for single story houses.   If I had to estimate, I would say our typical neighborhood is about 4:1 two story homes vs one story homes overall.
