Centennial Cup field finalized
TORONTO – The 10-team field that will compete in the upcoming Centennial Cup, presented by Tim Hortons, is now set.
Each of the nine-member Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) champions have been determined and will join the host Oakville Blades (OJHL) at the event which runs May 9-19, at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.

The Miramichi Timberwolves scored three goals in the 3rd period of Game 6 on home ice to defeat the Summerside Western Capitals 5-4 on Thursday night and win the Metalfab MHL Cup. Jack Flanagan was named Playoff MVP going 10-0-2 in the post-season with a 2.86 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.
The visitors jumped out to the early lead in Game 6 as Jonah MacDonald scored at 7:59. For the second time in the Metalfab MHL Cup Final, the Summerside Western Capitals defeated the Miramichi Timberwolves in double-overtime. Miramichi entered the game with a 3-1 series lead and found themselves on the cusp of their first-ever league championship. Summerside, meanwhile, were looking to force Game 6 on Thursday night in Miramichi.

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick (April 30, 2024) – Nicholas Sheehan, the Maritime Junior Hockey League’s (MHL) goaltender of the year, will continue his career with the Acadia Axemen.
Management of the Atlantic University Sport team, located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, made the announcement today.

The Miramichi Timberwolves are one win away from their first Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) championship after a 4-3 win over Summerside on home ice in Game 4 of the Metalfab MHL Cup Final on Sunday.
The Timberwolves entered Game 4 with a 2-1 series lead after a 4-3 win in Summerside on Wednesday. Trailing 3-2 entering the final period of Game 3, Miramichi found goals from Eliott Robert and Tim Porter to pull out the victory in which they outshot the Western Capitals 49-31.
