This was my first ever luxury vacation. I love to budget travel but this time I needed a little more. There is nothing wrong with treating yourself every once in a while. Heck, if you can afford it, do it all the time.
I had a bit of a rough end to 2022 and start to 2023. I was not in the planning mood, nor was a wanting to drive. So I looked into some tours. What I didn’t want was to be stuck on a tour bus, so we decided a private tour. Now, was the affordability part. Could I find a less expensive company? Yes I did. To be honest I was shocked at the price and a little worried. Was this com ..read more

Over 40, never married, no kids…..Regrets?
The question
Do I regret being over 40, never married and no kids?
We have grown up with the understanding that we need to finish our studies, find a partner, get house and start a family. Not everyone is meant for that life and we need to accept that and move forward. As a society we tend to push our beliefs on others. If we are single, well, we are probably some crazy cat lady. If we don’t have kids, it’s because we don’t like them. Ok…. so I do have cats, lol, but I love kids.
Finding your soulmate
Okay, what does this even mean? Seriously, I feel ..read more

What you need to know before you go
Before you set out on your 2 perfect days in Amman, Jordan here are some things you should know. The common language here is Arabic, however English is widely used. The currency is Dinar which at the time we travelled was .53 on CDN and .71 on USD. The best time to travel is the fall and spring, you will avoid the high temperatures, trust me it gets very hot here. We travelled in the beginning of May and found some of the days to be too much, 36 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.

Ice Cave tour – Iceland
So, you have decided to head to the land of fire and ice in the winter? Get ready for an adventure. Here is what you can do in 5 days in Iceland in November.
I planned this trip for my birthday. We arrived on the 28th of November and left December 2nd. We accounted for so many things, weather, darkness and beauty. Even though we planned for the weather I wasn’t really thinking about the toll it takes on you when driving. So here are some things to consider when booking for this time of year.
Darkness is a big one. There are only around 5 hours of sunlight, and that’s if ..read more
