March was one of my best reading months in years, so be prepared for a long post! March turned out to be the month of Danielle L. Jensen for me and I cannot complain! I started the month with The Bridge Kingdom and quickly fell in love with it. It is up there with Radiance by Grace Draven as one of my favourite fantasy romances. I think that this is the perfect book if you are primarily a romance reader who is looking to get into fantasy romance because it has no magic. It is set in a fantasy world but all of the characters are human, so I found it is be incredibly accessible. The politics w ..read more

After co-hosting three readathons in the last four months, I am ready to get back to mood reading! Now that spring is here (I say as it is currently snowing), I am in the mood for some lighter reads. Think contemporary romance, romantasy, and contemporary romance! I am part of a witchy book club and I am hosting the liveshow for Gravebriar this Sunday! It is technically the March book but I wanted to read it closer to the discussion so it is still fresh in my mind. It is a YA fantasy romance between witches who are part of warring covens. The House Witch is the April book and it has been on ..read more

There are so many amazing books coming out in April that it took me ages to put this post together! April 2nd A seductively twisted romance about loyalty, fate, the lengths we go to hide the darkest parts of ourselves . . . and the people who love those parts most of all. Wyatt Westlock has one plan for the farmhouse she’s just inherited — to burn it to the ground. But during her final walkthrough of her childhood home, she makes a shocking discovery in the basement — Peter, the boy she once considered her best friend, strung up in chains and left for dead. Unbeknownst to Wyatt, Peter has s ..read more

This weekend is Peace Talks for Realmathon and I will be on reading sprints all weekend long! My plan is to read as many novellas as a can to rack up points for my team. A lot of these have been on my TBR for ages and I am excited to get to them. If you have read them, let me know your thoughts in the comments. When the witch built the forty-flight tower, she made very sure to do the whole thing properly. Each flight contains a dreadful monster, ranging from a diamond-scaled dragon to a pack of slavering goblins. Should a prince battle his way to the top, he will be rewarded with a golden s ..read more

Do you hold on to special editions just because they are pretty even if you didn’t love them? That is what I have been doing and I finally decided it was time to let go! I also have some other books that I liked but didn’t love that I don’t need to hang on to and would be better in someone else hands! What was the last book you unhauled? February Wrap Up

February was an interesting reading month! Let me just say that my two favourite books of the month had me in tears! Stats Set in an alternative Edwardian England, this is a comedy of manners, manor houses, and hedge mazes: including a magic-infused murder mystery and a delightful queer romance. For fans of Georgette Heyer or Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton, who’d like to welcome magic into their lives… Young baronet Robin Blyth thought he was taking up a minor governmental post. However, he’s actually been appointed parliamentary liaison to a secret magical society. If it weren’t for this a ..read more

I am co-hosting Realmathon this year and I am co-captaining Team Creation with Hannah from Hannah’s Recent Reads. I will leave a link to Cassidy’s announcement video if you want all of the details! My team gets bonus points for books with blue covers and books with animals on the cover, so you will see quite a few on those on this month’s TBR! Also, there are a lot of books on this TBR, so think of it as more of a pile of possibilities. Book Clubs and Buddy Reads Gravebriar is the March book for the Black Hat Book Coven and it was actually my pick this month! This is a book I grabbed during ..read more

US vs UK Book Covers | 2024 Releases
Kristin Kraves Books

Do you judge a book by its cover? That is what we are doing in today’s post! This is something I do a few times a year where I look at new releases that have different covers for the US and the UK and decide which one I prefer. This is just for fun and I have found a ton of amazing illustrators this way. I have linked their instagrams and websites throughout the post, so check them out! Tainted Cup There is no denying that both of these covers are stunning and I have a feeling the US editions will be foiled and gorgeous in person, but my eye is immediately drawn to the UK cover. To be fair ..read more

Happy Valentine’s Day friends! I love that we are spreading the love this Valentine’s Day by shouting out some of our favourite channels! 1. Booktuber(s) with the best filming background? Mikalareads Mikala’s bookshelves are my dream shelves! You can tell just by looking at them that she is a lover of witchy books (she is Slewfoot and Cackle front facing!) between the books she has displayed and her knickknacks. I also love the natural look of the shelves themselves and all of the greenery. Just so aesthetically pleasing! Katrina Brown I stole this photo of Katrina’s shelves from her Instag ..read more
