As the name suggests, simple syrup is an easy to make classic that can be mixed in to just about any cocktail-mojitos, sangrias, margaritas...you name it. If your cocktails are a little too tart for your liking or the flavor is not as detectable as you’d like, you can add simple syrup about a teaspoon at a time to sweeten and amplify the taste.
Ingredients:
-1 cup water
-1 cup white, granulated sugar
Directions:
1. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan
2.Cook on medium heat until sugar is dissolved*
3. Turn down heat and let cool
4. Add to your next cocktail!

Even the Cocktail Snob needs a break from alcohol from time to time. I love this recipe because my boyfriend and I came up with it together randomly one night as we were making dinner. We wanted something to drink but were tired of drinking alcohol. Strange, right? haha!
