Hello and Welcome Back.. This Album Formed a Gateway to the 80s in Regards to Sound. For those that don't know, the song 'Mama' (#1) is what started the whole 80s 'Gated Reverb' Drum Sound which was found by accident while messing around with a Linn Drum Machine (LM-1). Mike Rutherford fed the Drum Machine output through a Reverb (technique that combines strong reverb and a noise gate that cuts the tail of the reverb) and an Amplifier and the rest, as they say, is history.
