1 April 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force. The RCAF existed as a separate armed service for its first 44 years, and now serves as the air component of the unified Canadian Armed Forces. From 1939 until 1968 the RCAF operated its own service police organization. The contemporary RCAF draws its police support from the CAF Military Police Branch. The CMPA kit shop has created a 2nd edition of the Canadian Military Police Fallen Members Challenge coin for a specific purpose. The CMPA Kit shop is selling this 2nd edition Fallen Members Coin in order to raise funds to support the Cpl Gibson Memorial Sign located in Suffield AB. police When the Canadian Naval Service was established in 1910 (soon renamed the Royal Canadian Navy) it inherited the Ship's Police system that was already well established in Britain's Royal Navy.
