I'm Natasha. I was raised on quesadillas and casserole and made homegrown salsa in the Midwest. I love both sandy beaches and snowy afternoons. Currently, I'm seeing the world, one assignment at a time and trying to live life to the fullest. I would rather not go without my daily latte. I am married to the love of my life, Devin, and we're calling Germany our home for now. My hope..

It’s February 27, 2021, and my blog has been live for under 72 hours. But I’m writing this now as a sort of a time capsule/putting it out there in the universe type thing. And I wanted to get my feelings written down while they’re still fresh.
I’ve wanted to blog for a long time. Years. I didn’t pursue it though, because I felt like people would judge me (and maybe they do but oh well), I felt like I didn’t have anything to offer and I was focused on making it big so I didn’t feel genuine. I

I wrote this a few months ago, the day before this photo was taken at Devil’s Den. I haven’t weighed myself since, but the feelings behind this and the raw emotion still hold true for me today. I’ve made a lot of progress healing my relationship with food and my body image. I’m proud of that. At the same time, I’m realizing there isn’t really a finish line. Maybe there is for some people, but I don’t think I’m ever going to reach a point where I’m enamored with how I look in the mirror every single day. And I’m ok with that. Right now, my goal is acceptance. Not love, not hate, just acceptance ..read more

As some of you may know, one of my best friends is my German Shepherd, Cairo. (Here we are this summer…aww how cute). But, when we moved to Germany, we were only able to bring Luna (our Belgian Tervuren) and Cairo ended up staying with my family in Wisconsin. Let me start by saying that this was not the original plan. While every country is different, the only requirement for a pet entering Germany from the United States is an International Health Certificate from the USDA within 10 days of getting to Germany. Sounds simple enough, right? Not quite.
There are a few things to have in place befo ..read more

When I first saw Devil’s Den on Tik Tok, I knew I had to add it to my “List of Things to Do in Florida Before I Leave” (which I actually had as a note in my phone but I can’t find the proof now). It looked almost unreal in the video.
In person, it was pretty incredible to see but I can see how it would have been a bigger surprise to whoever first found it. I would say the best part was the novelty of swimming in an underground cave…it was a first for me!
We brought snorkel gear and a waterproof phone case, but really only ended up using the snorkel masks to swim around. The water was deep but ..read more

I can’t talk about my time in Florida without talking about the beaches. Although I didn’t make it to the iconic white sand beaches in the northwest part of the state, I made sure to take advantage of the ones close to me, especially on three-day weekends or when I had company.
I think my hands-down favorite beach is Fort De Soto. It’s a massive park run by Pinellas County with multiple beaches (including a really nice dog beach), camping areas, kayak and canoe rentals, piers and lighthouses.
I usually went to the dog park with my German Shepherd, Cairo. There were some dog beaches closer to ..read more
