I recently went to Las Vegas for my bachelorette trip so I will be reviewing/blogging about a few restaurants we checked out during our trip.
Related: Read my full review of Gordon Ramsay’s celebrity restaurant Hell’s Kitchen in Las Vegas.
Bespoke Cafe is a highly rated brunch cafe that is around a 10 minute drive away from the Las Vegas strip. I came here for brunch on a Friday morning with 3 of my bridesmaids.
The vibe
The inside of Bespoke Café was pretty spacious and casual with a front-counter where you can place and pay for your own order.
The décor was a mixture of industrial (con ..read more

I have been a fan of Gordon Ramsay for a long time . I love watching Master Chef and Hells Kitchen, and even watched that documentary where he went to some prison and taught the inmates how to make lemon squares and they tried to market and sell these lemon squares in coffee shops around town.
However, I never felt like I could call myself a true fan of Gordon Ramsay because I have never actually eaten at any of his restaurants . They recently opened a Gordon Ramsay burger spot in Coquitlam, but I’ve heard mixed reviews so I didn’t prioritize going yet (I still plan on going some time soon ..read more

JJang Korean BBQ and Social House is a Korean barbeque restaurant located in Richmond. I was invited to check out their weekday menu where they have special promotions and pricing so we came on a Monday night.
Disclaimer: Our entire meal was paid for by Jjang BBQ. They also chose all the items we ordered, which are all featured in this blog post.
Jjang Korean BBQ and Social House:
5668 Hollybridge Way #115, Richmond, BC V7C 4N3
The vibe
Jjang has a pretty spacious restaurant and it actually has a pretty cool vibe inside – sparkly metallic walls giving it kind of a “space” vibe. They have s ..read more

BEEST is a newish addition to the Vancouver ramen scene and we came by for a visit back in December. They are located in downtown Vancouver on Bute Street boast a very meaty menu featuring roast beef in almost every dish!
BEEST Roast beef marinated ramen – Vancouver
770 Bute St, Vancouver, BC V6E 1C2
The vibe
The interior of BEEST has a cozy and dark feel to it. For a small space, they fit quite a number of tables in there comfortably, and I noticed many tables were in and out quickly.
We were seated as a table of 4 near the back where there was a wall of booth seating – comfy!

The First Dessert is a small Cantonese dessert shop located on Victoria Drive in Vancouver with prices under $10.
We were invited to try 2 desserts for a media tasting, but I have visited The First Dessert before with my family because we are Cantonese and my parents prefer desserts that are not too sweet. This blog post will be a combined review of our 2 visits.
The vibe
The First Dessert is a small dessert shop so there’s limited seating (maybe around 8 tables). The interior is pretty simple with some random Christmas decorations but one thing that stood out to me were the tables and sto ..read more

We go to Whistler several times a year to snowboard and always stay in the Whistler village. Over time, we’ve gotten to try quite a few Whistler restaurants so I was excited to see a new restaurant open last year.
Wild Blue Restaurant is a new fine-dining seafood restaurant located in Whistler village by the golf club. We recently visited to try them for the first time back in February, but I did make reservations back in December. Our experience was kind of particular due to a free steak incident, which I will expand more on in this post .

For my friend’s birthday in March, we had dinner at Acquafarina, a Michelin recommended Italian restaurant in downtown Vancouver.
I actually heard that Acqufarina used to ban phones, as in customers were not allowed to take photos inside the restaurant. But in 2022 as the covid pandemic started to die down, they lifted this ban. Probably a good thing because I likely wouldn’t go to a restaurant that doesn’t allow me to use my phone/take photos – food blogging is something I actually enjoy .

For my friend’s birthday, we all had dinner at Tozen Sushi Bar, a new Japanese sushi restaurant that opened late last year on West Broadway in the Fairview area of Vancouver. Tozen is a sister restaurant to Tom Sushi (located in downtown Vancouver), but brands themselves on being a more premium/higher-end restaurant.
My partner and I are big fans of sushi so we were super excited to try Tozen and we ordered a bunch of items from their menu because we wanted to try a little bit of everything.

We were a table of 6 adults and were seated at the very front of the restaurant next to th ..read more

I am a big fan of brunch even though deep down inside I know it is kind of overpriced for eggs and bread.
La Petit Belge is a cute brunch spot I visited with my friend awhile ago. They offer Belgian waffles and other classic brunch dishes.
The vibe
The interior of Le Petite Belge is not very large but there is seating inside and 2 small tables outside on the street also. Even though the area is small, it feels cozy and private and you get a window view of the street outside. I also like the touch of the bright red chairs.
Food and drinks review
Here is what we ordered between 2 people.

CHOCHO Hot Pot is a premium hot pot restaurant offering all-you-can-eat hot pot at $50 per person. In the last year, it has garnered a lot of attention and is a popular spot for food influencers since it is a sub-brand/chain of The Dolar Shop Hot Pot, another popular hot pot restaurant. However, The Dolar Shop is notorious for being expensive, hence CHOCHO in comparison seems like a better deal.
I actually have been avoiding going to CHOCHO for a long time because I actually don’t like hot pot that much (*avoids all the rocks being thrown at me* ). I prefer eating hot pot at home with one bi ..read more
