The daytime community is continuing to mourn the passing of actress and writer Meg Bennett, who sadly lost her battle with cancer earlier this month. Sad news to report for soap fans. Actress and writer Meg Bennett has died at the age of 75. Her family reported that she lost her battle with cancer and passed away on April 11. Bennet got her start in show business back in 1971 when she was hired as the Cadillac Eldorado convertible girl” for a New York auto show and after a role in the off-Broadway musical Godspell, became one of the original cast members of Grease on Broadway. Our thoughts are with soap vet James Hyde as he is mourning a heartbreaking death in his family.
