We are amazed by the support of the Swiss parkour community and the unbelievable financial donations we got at the end of 2021 / beginning of 2022. This support enabled us to employee Julian Dutoit to be in charge of the development of youth and sports parkour. Julian collaborated with members of the Swiss parkour community to create the first ever youth and sports parkour education. Through the development of youth and sports parkour, Swiss parkour communities get access to trainer certifications and financial support by the Swiss government for teaching parkour! SPKA is currently laying crucial groundwork for establishing parkour within Switzerland's sporting structures. Open letter to the parkour community, by Vera Trümpi, 24.05.2021 Dear parkour community This article is based on the thoughts and experiences of women from the parkour community in Switzerland. In addition, I spoke to women which admire observing people doing parkour but never got themselves started because a lot of things stopped them from doing it. The most important questions to discuss: Why are there not more women doing parkour and why is it important to change that? Why often women don’t stay with this sport? What can we do to motivate more women to practice parkour? First of all: We ..read more
