Stuntman and Director
May 1, 1948 – January 10, 2024
Born and raised in Southern California, Conrad left high school at seventeen to enlist in the US Marine Corps. He served two volunteer tours in Vietnam 1967 – 1969.
No stranger to PTSD, he built a long and successful career in the entertainment industry. In his work as a stuntman and director he was known for his commitment to the safety of the people he worked with.

In the buildup to the holidays at the end of the year, this day, December 7, stands out. As much a day of remembrance as Memorial Day, it stops us. Every year. There are still WWII Vets among us, fewer each year, but the memories of families are long, and the legacy of service stands firm.
Here at the NVF, we know to plan for a flood of calls. This can be an especially difficult, lonely time for Vets, whether they’re struggling with homelessness or the trials of transitioning out of the service. We’re proud to announce that NVF President and Founder Shad Meshad has been nominated for the Nation’s Finest 50 Award. Nation’s Finest was founded in 1972 to help returning Veterans transition from the military to civilian life. To celebrate their 50 years of service, they are recognizing and honoring others who have supported our Veterans with the Nation’s Finest 50 Award.
Both the NVF and Nation’s Finest were founded by Vietnam Veterans. When you combine their careers, Shad Meshad and Peter Cameron have served their fellow Veterans for over a century.

Mario Sibrian joins the National Veterans Foundation with an extensive background in military talent acquisition, advocacy, and providing Veterans and military families with access to resources and benefits. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Marines, and then he became the Base Commander’s Protocol Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) at installation, Marine Corps Base in Hawaii.

The NVF is proud to announce that our President and Founder Shad Meshad, US Army, will be inducted into the U.S. Veterans Hall of Fame on November 4, 2023, in a ceremony in Atlanta. The announcement was made by Hall of Fame Founder, Chaplain Curtis Drafton. Meshad is being inducted for his service to Veterans for the past 50 years.

The NVF partnered with Veterans Stand Together (VST) to help a veteran whose locker/storage was broken into while he attended VST’s guard card course. VST reached out to our Director of Ops, Mario Sibrian. Everything in the man’s locker had been stolen. The Vet was looking for combat boots. He’d received one of the red backpacks the NVF provided to VST, but needed more to start his new job.
