Do you pay attention to the cycles of the moon? The reason I ask, is to invite you to notice today's full, super moon (August 11) named the Sturgeon Moon by the Algonquins of North America. The cycles of the moon are a call-out for you to fire up your INTUITION and intentions. And the more you use your intuition, the more it develops! The days before, during and after a full moon are a great time to notice what's being offered to you in your life--situations, blocks, relationships, reading materials, images, sounds, food... Everything is designed to guide you, and to help you grow, but some ..read more

How does this quote sit with you? "Your thoughts are the source of virtually everything in your life." Wayne Dyer. I often speak of how we can be stuck in the cycle of constant 'doing'- it's like we can't turn off sometimes. But, have you noticed how much your mind is turned on too? And what is the quality of those thoughts? Are they stress thoughts or empowering thoughts? Your mind is c o n s t a n t l y chattering away in your head? Are you up for a challenge? A change? I just returned from vacationing on Vancouver Island and the general Vancouver area and I have to admit that I thought I was prepared for the physical challenges of the trip, boy was I wrong. Here’s what the Sea to Summit website says, "Intermediate/Advanced. Some steep & challenging sections. Requires fixed rope lines to assist you at certain sections. Not recommended for downhill travel." Okay, so, I read the above description AFTER I did the trail! 7.5 km, 918 vertical meters $15 gondola ride back down = PRICELESS! It's EVERYWHERE! I mean haven't you noticed that every January (well actually it starts in December) the NEW YEAR-NEW YOU messaging begins to tell us that life will be better when... when we lose the weight, exercise harder, start juicing and organize our closets ...? There's a lot of pressure to hit those goals and they're always set in the future. I know what you're going to say, " But Michele all those things are good, they support us." Can you say this to yourself, or are you filled with excuses and doubt? "I am absolutely flawsome!" Take a look in the mirror and give yourself permission to STOP being so hard on yourself: your appearance, your decisions, your finances, your relationships, your life, your health, your routines... Okay, you may not be ready for a nap right NOW but do feel like getting a little more sleep would be helpful? Studies have shown that practising gratitude helps with the quality of your sleep by slowing down your pre-sleep cognitions, which just means it helps us to STOP worrying so much. We all do it.
