Another year, another great visit of our tennis friends from Colombia. It was such a great pleasure to have players from the Intercambios Barcelona Group with us for a two-week programme. The positive vibes of the Colombian players are truly contagious. Every single time they come here, they burst with tons of energy, connect with coaches and players and have lots of fun on the court every day. We prepared for them a full-time training programme with accommodation in the nearby Hotel C31, only a 5-minute walk from our club. We hope the group enjoyed their stay with us and we look forwa ..read more

As part of our blog series presenting our coaching team, today our focus is on the profile of Andrea Ribalta, who is both a tennis coach and a sports psychologist at our academy. Being a psychologist, Andrea not only can offer invaluable insights on the players’ performance both in practice and matches, but also has a great connection with all the players, both as their coach and friend they can share their feedback with. The idea behind this series is to present our coaching team at work, so in this blog Andrea will show how she works with players to develop their skill of on-court decisio ..read more

Every April they come to train with us to prepare themselves for their club season and matches on clay. The training programme that we organise for them is totally in line with their needs and tailor-made to their goals. In the morning they work on movement and technique; in the afternoon they put everything into practice and engage in match play. It is always a unique experience to have them here with us. This week we have had the pleasure to welcome at our tennis academy a group of ten girls from the Sutton Tennis Academy in England and their coaches. The girls have a personalised group programme of match play. We arranged for them matches against our academy players so that they can test their clay court skills against a variety of opponents. Such a set-up gives them plenty of opportunities to work on their game tactics for both singles and doubles as well as practise their movement and footwork on clay. Playing matches on this surface calls for specific tactical choices and differs signific ..read more
