The more you look in to the design & build quality of the Mink Sports Camper, the more you appreciate just how much is involved. These days, paying more is unfortunately no guarantee of receiving better quality but those more discerning buyers with an eye for detail are easily reassured about getting what they pay for. Design: No stone unturned Built from its boots up, every aspect of the Mink was given careful consideration, creating an honest sports camper thats both simplistic & functional, while retaining its distinct Nordic styling. One of Mink’s design goals was to create an expansive, spacious feel to the camper's interior. Serious research & development ensued, to ensure Mink had none of the ‘small-trailer' effect, (that many regular teardrops suffer from), transforming it to an open, more comfortable environment that allows maximum connection to the outside world. These diagrams show a part of that study and demonstrate the level of research that has gone in to making the world's finest sports camper. Two generous side door windows were applied, (interestingly, inspired by the concept of a washing machine door ..read more

It’s that time of the year when the temperatures take a tumble and you start feeling that autumnal chill, so is it about time to pack away your MINK for the winter? Certainly not! Here's some tips for using your cosy MINK all year round. The MINK was designed to traverse Iceland’s glaciers, so as you’d expect, it’s thoroughly insulated, double glazed and has a fantastic, top quality blown air heating system. At the turn of the dial, the thermostatically controlled heating can be switched on and adjusted to a comfort level of your choice. What’s more, the economical diesel heater will probably ..read more

More about the Mink 2.0 Sports Camper's high tech body. ABS Shell Vs. Fiberglass The MINK’s shell is manufactured from one of the toughest plastic compounds on the planet. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene or ABS is used for robust applications such as rifle butts and hard hats. ABS better withstands the vibration of rough roads whereas Fiberglass is prone to crack under the shock of rough terrain. In many impact situations where Fiberglass will crack or shatter, ABS will survive unscathed. ABS is also lighter & tougher than Fibreglass and does not suffer from unsightly spider-cracks. Towing: smooth as Mink
Mink-Camper UK

Although an avid Mink fan, I have never been keen on the whole towing thing. This blog explains my own aversions & how Mink overcame them. My first experience of towing was a fairly modest 20 ft boat, back in the day. But it was a nightmare, snaking badly even at 50mph and the stabiliser that I could afford didn’t really help. When a trailer starts snaking, (and most do sooner or later), you feel the whole tail-end of the vehicle being pulled quite violently from side to side. It’s a nasty feeling of helplessness that’s very unnerving and put me off the whole idea of towing anything for a ..read more

Everyone is working really hard, harder than ever wouldn’t you say? That’s why it’s really important to take some time out, even if only for a night or two at the weekend. The benefits of being out in nature cannot be overstated. The experts all agree that time outdoors is really good for our well-being. It’s a known fact that spending just twenty minutes outside in nature significantly reduces levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Being outside also increases the release of endorphins and neurotransmitters like serotonin, which make you feel good and help you relax. With a MINK, you can dec ..read more
