The third Anime Corner weekly poll for Spring 2024 anime rankings (week 3) has now closed! Using data from over 10,000 international anime fans, we created a list of fan-favorite episodes released during the season’s third week. Kaiju No. 8 has taken the top spot, jumping ten places from last week, followed by Date A Live V and Konosuba Season 3.

Vampire Dormitory is a shoujo that seems to be going under the radar compared to other shows this season. Vampire Dormitory episode 3 aired this week, naturally bringing up the “3 episode rule” many anime fans swear by. For avid cheesy shoujo romance fans, there’s a lot to like about Vampire Dormitory, but the show’s presentation might not be a hit with an average anime watcher. As previously announced, Medialink will be opening the Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle movie in Southeast Asian territories. Following the Philippines‘ announcement yesterday, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam have also confirmed their theatrical premiere dates. As of writing, the updated Haikyu!! movie Asian release dates are as follows:
May 15: The Philippines, Korea
May 16: Malaysia, Singapore
May 17: Vietnam
June 15: Mainland China
TBA: Thailand, Indonesia, and India

Kaiju No. 8 anime revealed a preview for episode 3, slated to air on Saturday, April 27. Kafka managed to hide his monstrous secret with Reno’s help and the two head to the Defense Force exam together. He makes a bet with Kikoru Shinomiya, a girl he meets at the venue, but is unable to keep up with her during the physical fitness test and ends up with a terrible result. TheAnimeMen, a six-piece group of avid anime fans and content creators, recently released their a fan-made music video of the Japanese hit song “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” by Creepy Nuts. Studio GoHands announced a new original anime project titled Momentary Lily on Thursday with a teaser visual, trailer and a January 2025 premiere.
