The Bible is full of verses that offer hope and encouragement. Still, one of the most powerful is 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. This verse tells us that when we come to Christ, we are not just forgiven of our sins, but we are also transformed into new people. This is a favorite verse. It reminds me that as we navigate through the ups and downs of life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and uncertain about what the future holds. We may be faced with difficult decisions or challenges that seem impossible. However, Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord and lean not on our own understanding.
