The Bible is full of verses that offer hope and encouragement. Still, one of the most powerful is 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. This verse tells us that when we come to Christ, we are not just forgiven of our sins, but we are also transformed into new people. The old self, with all its sin and brokenness, is gone. In its place is a new creation, a person who is loved by God and who has the power to live a new life. This is an amazing promise, and it is one that we can hold onto when we are feelin ..read more

This is a favorite verse. It reminds me that as we navigate through the ups and downs of life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and uncertain about what the future holds. We may be faced with difficult decisions or challenges that seem impossible. However, Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord and lean not on our own understanding. This verse is a beautiful reminder that we do not have to have all the answers. We do not have to know the future or have everything figured out. Instead, we can trust that God has a plan for our lives and will guide us every step of the way. When we surrender ..read more

This post is part of the Five Minute Friday blog link-up. Where I join up with a community of writers and bloggers of all ages and stages who gather around a single-word prompt to free-write, unscripted, unedited, for five minutes. This week’s word prompt is {{IMPULSE}} Impulses are sudden, unplanned urges to act. They can be good or bad, but they often lead us to make decisions that we later regret. It’s important to learn how to control our impulses so that we can follow God’s will. The Bible teaches us that we’re all sinners and that our sinful nature often drives our impulse ..read more

|Kindness— A Simple Act with a Big Impact| Okay, so it’s nothing new that our world is chaotic and demanding; getting caught up in our uncertainties and perplexities is easy. We may lose sight of the simple yet profound virtues that can bring healing and peace to our lives and strengthen our relationships. Ephesians 4:32 encourages us to: Kindness is a choice. We can choose to do it in every interaction, whether big or small. When we choose kindness, we intentionally extend warmth, gentleness, and understanding to those around us. This creates an atmosphere of acceptance and love that can melt ..read more

I’m linking up with friends for Share Four Somethings June 2023 over @ Jennifer’s place, Overflowing With Thankfulness; each month, we share something we Loved, Read, Learned, and Ate.  Loved I loved that I was able to see a robin’s nest with eggs at eye level. Her nest was tucked away in the grape vines on the fence. Mama Robin was sitting on the fence several feet from me, tweeting her disapproval that I was taking a picture. Read Sisterchicks Do The Hula By Robin Gunn Jones, via Joanne Viola. This was such a tenderhearted humorous book ..read more
