image 1.1 Early April saw the return of our regular Tamper to Robertsbridge as the preparatory work of our ground contractors and the volunteer p-Way crew had been done.  image 1.2 As the blog image materials were being collected, ballast was arriving, A-Woods, ground works, was busy around the site, the tamper was in full flow and one of our project engineers was assessing the next phase of works. Please accept my apologies for the delay to the promised regular news. We are all bound to experience computer failures at some point. This time I have had the joy of that in the way of a BIOS failure. It is surprising how much we depend not only on the computer, but the way it is set up and software, tailored to our daily needs. image 1 - against Northbridge Street Just a gate, well the significance is more interesting than the above image may first appear! The new alignment has started to be fence off in preparation for engineering works. The Railway is fencing Eastwards from Northbridge Street. image 2 - view East towards A21 The type of fencing used is now the standard for Network Rail.
