Following the deletion of Oculus account data, Meta has now removed several features from its virtual meeting room tool Horizon: Workrooms in a proclaimed effort to provide a “more streamlined and reliable experience.” At the same time, Meta optimised the platform’s user experience. Following its recent partnership with Meta, LG Electronics is launching its first enterprise-ready Metaverse platform for HVAC installers and professionals. According to the firm, its “LG Air Solution Village” Metaverse offers HVAC professionals an immersive space for several use cases, including virtual showrooms and functional installation simulation. According to recent data released by the IDC Worldwide Quarterly AR/VR Headset Tracker, the global market for XR headsets witnessed a significant growth of 130.4% year over year during the fourth quarter of 2023. The report also highlighted how during the majority of 2023, XR headset shipments declined by 23.5 per cent year-on-year.
