Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week is approaching, but that doesn’t mean Emote creators should take a break—MVFW isn’t only about Wearables! The best way to catch a fashionista’s eye with a snazzy new Wearable is by strutting your stuff on the runway and putting the show in ‘Fashion Show’. The community will be looking for the best stylish and sassy Emotes to use on the catwalk, so Emote creators better find their inner diva and get to work! To encourage Emote creators to get into the MVFW mood, the Decentraland Foundation is holding an Emote contest for the occasion. In addition to MANA pr ..read more

Wilderness P2E is one of the Decentraland DAO’s latest grantee projects and a MMORPG. The game was initially launched on December 21, 2021 by engineering grads Neha Singh and Ryan Pal, now CEO and CTO, who share a passion for art, design, and gaming. The play-to-earn game first became a Decentraland DAO grantee in November of last year when its first proposal was accepted by 92% of voters. After rapidly becoming popular in Decentraland, Wilderness P2E applied for another, larger grant and the proposal, meant to account for the team’s expansion and the acceleration of the project’s progress, as ..read more

Decentraland Blog
by Decentraland
1y ago
Last year Decentraland focused on the growth and improvement of the platform while sticking to a motto of ‘Can’t Be Evil’, based on its intention to be built as an open protocol and a public good. Many features were added, a Desktop Client was released, new platform-wide events were held, initiating crowds of new DCL citizens, and the community was further empowered to contribute to and claim ownership of Decentraland, particularly with all the changes in the DAO Governance platform. Since 2017, Decentraland’s mission has been based upon the belief that a virtual world shouldn’t be owned by an ..read more

Looking back at the second Decentraland Metaverse Music Festival, one can’t help but remember the exhilarating feeling pulsing through the crowd at the end of the festival’s last day. As a sunrise colored the sky in pinks and purples over Björk’s main stage performance, Decentraland’s community experienced the phenomenon of one of the virtual world’s first ever rainfalls, together. The shared experience was a magical moment for anyone present, and one that left no doubt that #DCLMVMF22, as a whole, was a success.
