Barbados has formally accepted Palestine as a state. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Kerrie Symmonds announced following the media launch to highlight the activities for the 166th Regular Session of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Taiwan was shaken by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake, the largest to hit the island in at least 25 years, killing at least four people, wounding dozens, and prompting a tsunami warning for southern Japan and the Philippines. The Roseau Enhancement Project will get underway later this year, according to Melissa Poponne-Skerrit, the Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau Central Constituency. Guyana’s Ministry of Health is significantly lowering the incidence of tuberculosis (TB) in the nation by providing comprehensive care and treatment for those who have the disease.
