At Dog Holidays UK, we pride ourselves on offering variety to our customers and introducing you to dog friendly destinations across the UK you can enjoy with your dog.
When I was looking to get away on a dog friendly holiday with Ralph soon after getting him, we kept coming across dog friendly cottages and country house hotels on repeat. It’s National Love Your Pet Day on the 20th of February and the perfect occasion to show our dogs just how much they mean to us. Yes they chew on your shoes, ruin your flower beds, they believe you are sharing THEIR bed and let’s not get started on those muddy paws they walk all round the house. The companionship and laughter they bring to our lives though mean they’re always forgiven because we simply love them to pieces!
Over the last decade the share of UK households owning a dog jumped from 23% to 33% and there are now 12.5 million dogs living amongst us in our homes. The PDSA Animal W ..read more

It’s the best feeling in the world when you wake up and it's warm and cosy, and you don't have to go to work. Winter is upon us and with the dark nights closing in, booking a cosy, dog friendly cottage with a log burner is the perfect way to relax and spend a few days away. Picture this: early morning frost while out on your dog walk and then back to base to set a roaring fire, snuggled up with your favourite book or movie. Nothing says cosy more than a cottage, especially one with a log burner because who doesn’t love the sound and feel of a crackling fire?
