How can I ground my cat’s energy? In this blog we will look at why you need to offer your cat opportunities to ground their energy to support their health and well-being. What is grounding? You may be aware that humans need to ground their energy. Perhaps you’ve heard someone share that when you get off an aeroplane you can scrunch the grass between your toes to ground your body. It’s not just the physical body that needs connection to the earth to feel grounded. Everything is made of and created by energy. So yes the physical body needs to feel grounded and connected to the earth but so does ..read more

Perhaps and your partner are arguing about the cat(s) and there is quite a lot of stress and anxiety in the home. I’m sure you’ve tried other things, but perhaps nothing seemed to help. Do any of these statements resonate for you? Are you struggling to understand, reduce or ..read more

How can I set my cat up for success? In this blog we will look at what a time out is, and why they aren’t good for your cat(s). Despite it becoming a popular way to discipline cats I’ll share with you below how it can actually damage your relationship with your feline friend. Cats are not kids Ok so buckle in peeps because I am not going to hold my tongue or be politically correct on this topic! Cats are not children. It may seem OK for people to give children a ‘time out’ but cats are not kids. I don’t have an opinion or perspective on using the time out method on kids as I don’t have them s ..read more

Do cats meditate?

Do cats meditate? I’ve been asked many times over the past 10 years if cats meditate. In this blog I’ll tell you what I know to be true about cats and meditation. Going back at least 15 years (how am I old enough to say that!) I used to come home from my corporate, office job and lie on the bed feeling quite pooped. Pickle would come and sit with me whilst I lay there. Eyes closed, having  what I thought was a power nap. You know the kind; they take you from one thing to another. For me it was the transition from day job to home life. I realised one day that I was actually meditating. Gi ..read more

How Leo helped me to heal. In this blog I’ll share with you how Leo has changed my life. How he has helped my business to evolve, my heart to open and my understanding of what it means to give cats a voice a whole new meaning.    I’ve never considered my cat(s) ‘just a pet’. They are not even just part of the family; they are part of my heart. I don’t function without them. When Pickle was put to rest I broke. I didn’t know who I was, how to be, or even on some days how to do anything other than breathe. And that at times that even felt too hard. My heart didn’t just break, it shatt ..read more

A rainy day with my cat

A rainy day with my cat. In this blog we look at what you can do with your cat on a rainy day. This past weekend it was a wash out! So much rain. My boys are fair weather travellers, meaning they won’t entertain the thought of going outside unless a) they are desperate for a wee or b) it’s only a light drizzle. Leo loves the fresh air and will often sit by the door or open window (if he gets to it before Baby Max), so he can stay dry but still enjoy the fresh air. My boys are hybrid cats. By that I mean they aren’t solely indoor cats, nor do they have unfettered access to outside. I open the ..read more
