A creative colouring competition was held at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Union on 9 September 2023 (Saturday). The competition was held in conjunction with Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day, 2 symbolically important days for the country. The competition was aptly named Pertandingan Mewarna Kreatif Hari Kebangsaan dan Hari Malaysia 2023, jointly organized by the Rukun Tetangga and Union Chinese Primary School (Jalan Burmah). The WSSA 2023 Sport Stacking Competition for Penang schools (Pertandingan Sukan Stacking Antara Sekolah-Sekolah Pulau Pinang) was held at Udini Square on 22 July 2023 (Saturday, 9AM-6PM). Udini Square is a relatively small shopping mall located right beside Lotus’s Penang (or Lotus’s E-Gate) in Gelugor. On the day of the competition, Udini Square became a busy place.
