34 Weeks pregnant I’d been meaning to get this post out before I popped but pregnancy fatigue got the best of me so, apologies!! As it was already mostly written I thought I’d post it anyway, so here you go! written back in February 2020. I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant and now in my 3rd trimester. Everything has been going really well so far. Our baby is growing really well, right on target and I’m finally starting to feel good. The end of my 2nd trimester and now my 3rd trimester have definitely been the best I’ve felt so far, although I still have to eat at 5 or 6 am every morning o ..read more

Please note I’m not a Doctor and this is not intended as medical advice. Fresh Apple and Lemon juice If you’ve been scratching your head as to why I’ve been juicing so much lately, eating so much fruit, taking large doses of vitamin D, and putting myself through dry fasts over the last several months, especially after doing so well for so long on OMS, I want to explain everything! Across this post and the next I’ll cover The Coimbra Protocol and my Regenerative Detox and what they’re all about. I’ll explain how they both work and how I’ve been feeling on each, including the pros and co ..read more

Mismanaging work & healing in 2018 & how I got myself back on track
Staying Healthy With MS Blog

Northern Beaches, NSW, Australia My toughest year with work in relation to my health was undoubtedly 2018. It seemed to suck me back into all my old habits and spit me back out again at the end of the year with pain, symptoms, anxiety, and a flat spirit, which was was all my own doing and I take full responsibility for it. I shared a compressed version of this on my Instagram feed late last year but as we head into 2020 I’m feeling called to write and share this experience in more depth. Mainly because working with MS is tough and I felt pretty alone when I was going through this, and ..read more

Beau and I on the sand hills in New Zealand Beau is 18 months old now and reflecting on it all, it’s been a wild ride of pure love and complete and utter exhaustion. There have been challenges I expected, and challenges I didn’t expect at all about becoming a mother and dealing with MS, but there have also been so many magic moments as well and I’ve learnt a LOT. So I thought it might be helpful if I did an update post sharing what I’ve learnt, including the highs and the challenges, but also my advice to new mothers to give those of you contemplating motherhood a realistic picture of ..read more

Travelling to B A L I on OMS - Food, Accomodation & Travel Tips

Overlooking Bingin Beach and Uluwatu at sunset, Bali, Indonesia    Ahhh Bali…the warmth, relaxed vibes, amazing beaches, good surf and kind people, it’s definitely my kind of place. But travelling can be a little tricky on OMS with finding healthy cafes and restaurants to eat at. When it comes to Bali I believe the best knowledge is inside knowledge. It can be a tricky place to navigate if you don’t know the areas well, and you can end up in some dives and get really sick if your not careful. This was my 3rd visit and Bens 5th, so I thought it’d be helpful to share our experi ..read more

Mushroom, Rosemary & Black Olive Pizza

Mushroom, Rosemary & Black Olive Pizza I stumbled across this creation when we were travelling in Ubud, Bali. Ben and I were looking for somewhere healthy to eat for dinner but it was hot and we were exhausted so naturally, we didn’t want to walk far. We walked past this authentic-looking pizza place with wood fire pizza ovens and thought we’d give it a go, and it did not let us down. The pizzas were SO good!! we literally ate there every night we were in Ubud. They didn’t have anything cheese-free so I made my own concoction - mushrooms, rosemary and black olives seemed like they ..read more

OMS Seafood Linguine

OMS Seafood Linguine This is one of my all-time favourite dinners on OMS. Plus! it’s really easy to throw together quickly at the end of the day when you need a quick satisfying meal on OMS. I have a real weakness for pasta since i’ve been on OMS, because it’s so filling and versatile, so I tend to eat it almost weekly. I usually stick to gluten free pastas but for this recipe it goes so well with normal organic pasta, however feel free to use what you wish. My rule of thumb when buying normal pasta is to buy organic, so it hasn’t got any chemical sprays on it. Wheat unfortunately ..read more

Walking on Curl Curl rocks, Sydney, Aus. Having such a severe episode during my diagnosis really motivated me to fight everyday to get my ability back. Nothing scared me more than having it all taken away from me and being completely dependant on someone else for the months I was stuck in hospital, at 31 years old it was pretty terrifying. For me I’d always been active as a child, in my teens and twenties, so in some ways exercise comes naturally to me. But I know it’s not the easiest thing for some people and even some days I struggle to get going - hello fatigue!. So I thought it’d be helpf ..read more

Pregnancy & MS Talk - 1st Trimester

22 Weeks Pregnant I’m currently 23 weeks pregnant with our first baby, which is pretty exciting for us! and all is well so far. But I wanted to post on this topic because, rather cruelly, MS tends to hit us women in our childbearing years and it can be pretty unsettling. The average age of an MS diagnosis is 34 years, I was 31 when I was diagnosed and right on the cusp of planning for a family, hands-up who else?. Naturally, it was one of the first things we questioned after diagnosis. It was also one of the first things my neurologist reassured me of directly after mine, that yes abso ..read more
