TUESDAY, Feb. 14, 2023 (HealthDay News) -- Smoking cessation for >10 years is significantly associated with reduced overall mortality and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC)-specific mortality, according to a study published online Jan. 18 in Cancer.

MONDAY, Dec. 19, 2022 (HealthDay News) -- Black patients with head-and-neck cancers have twice the death rates of white patients, and a new study suggests race itself underlies those differences.
“What is unique about our study is it strongly supports the conclusion that Black patients seem to respond to therapy differently than white patients,” said study author Dr. Jeffrey Liu. THURSDAY, Dec. 23, 2021 (HealthDay News) -- The incidence of oropharyngeal cancer (OPC) continues to increase nationally among U.S. men, according to a study published online Dec. 16 in JAMA Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
